Overview
After skiing in the Northeast for three consecutive years, this year I wanted to spend the winter on an island.
I have visited Sanya and Phuket many times, and originally for this off-peak trip after the Spring Festival holiday, I planned to stay at the Lijing Hotel on Phu Quoc Island. However, after checking, I found that Lijing is not family-friendly; with two adults and two children, you either need two rooms or a villa, and the cost is simply too high.
So I returned to the warm embrace of Marriott. It turned out that Marriott is indeed considerate and very friendly to its members.
I booked the room through a mini-program for 12,000 RMB for four nights, with an additional 100 USD dining credit, which is much cheaper than Lijing.
I used a suite voucher and was upgraded to a Turquoise Suite. Seeing that the suite was valued at over 9,000 RMB per night, I instantly realized the value of being a Marriott Platinum member, which further solidified my resolve to maintain my status, haha.
This trip offered a unique experience reminiscent of a JW Marriott Phu Quoc family resort and the benefits of an Off-peak island vacation package Phu Quoc.
In Room
The moment I opened the door, I was truly amazed.
It was my first time staying in such a beautifully colored room, exuding a full vacation vibe.
The living room, bedroom, balcony, and bathroom were all extremely spacious, and even with two extra beds, everything was very roomy.
The only downside was that the hotel, having been open for a long time, lacked modern smart devices.
Dining
The breakfast was quite abundant, although I only ate the same few items every day.
I didn’t try the pink-themed French restaurant, fearing it was too expensive!
I dined at the Latin American restaurant several times; the pizza and pasta were quite good.

Facilities
The hotel offered many activities and classes, but since I was out during the day, I didn’t participate.
The pool was nice, and the kids loved it.
It was the first time I saw a sports court and a running track at a hotel.
The quality of the beach was also remarkable; the sand was very fine and white.
The Moments
The most unforgettable moments of the Phu Quoc trip were going out to see starfish and riding the world’s longest sea cable car.
Red starfish were scattered all over the beach, providing endless fun for the kids, and the cable car offered breathtaking views.
